The spin-training endorsement a flight instructor applicant needs under 14 CFR 61.183(i), at Redlands Municipal Airport (KREI): a ground lesson, an online module to study ahead, and spins in our Cessna 172 (N5424T). About 30–60 minutes on the ground and 30–45 in the air.
$250 in all: a $150 deposit online books it, and you pay your instructor their $100 on the day.
The airplane is approved for spins in the utility category: 2,000 lb or less, with the rear seat and baggage compartment empty. We ask your weight when we schedule and plan the fuel around it.
Any pilot or flight instructor can book it, working toward the CFI or not: the training is the same.
