Part 61 training at Redlands Municipal Airport (KREI) with a dedicated instructor in an IFR-equipped Cessna.
The certificate that turns a commercial pilot into a working one. Learn to fly every maneuver from the right seat while explaining it, build a lesson plan for every task in the CFI ACS, and pass the longest oral in general aviation — then instruct here, as an independent CFI who bills students directly and keeps the whole fee.
The path
FOI & Ground: How people learn, how to teach it and how to tell when they have — the Fundamentals of Instruction — then the whole private and commercial syllabus again, this time from the instructor’s side of the table. Two knowledge tests come out of this phase.
Lesson Plans & Teaching the Oral: A lesson plan for every task in the CFI ACS, written by you and taught to your instructor on the whiteboard until the explanation is clean. This is most of the work, and most of it is homework.
Right-Seat Flying & Spins: Every private and commercial maneuver from the right seat, to commercial standards, while talking it through as you fly it. Then stalls, spin entries and recoveries for the spin endorsement, in a spin-approved airplane.
Checkride Prep: A mock oral where you teach, not recite, a mock ride where you catch your instructor’s deliberate mistakes, and a logbook and IACRA review before you meet the examiner.
